So it\u2019s not that I\u2019m just some Muslim writing about Jesus. I am an expert with a Ph.D in the history of religions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Soon after the interview, a YouTube video, called \u201cThe Most Embarrassing Interview Fox News Has Ever Done?\u201d, went viral.<\/p>\n<p>Aslan\u2019s new book was selling well before the Fox News interview as the writer was promoting his latest work on national television and radio. However, reports say that the Fox interview has been a great marketing tool for Aslan.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.theatlanticwire.com\/entertainment\/2013\/07\/reza-aslan-tk\/67743\/\">The Atlantic Wire<\/a>\u00a0website said that, since Sunday, the book has climbed from being No. 8 to No. 1 in the country\u2019s largest online bookseller, Amazon, knocking out Robert Glabraith, \u201cThe Cuckoo\u2019s Calling.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the book\u2019s publisher, Random House, told\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2013\/07\/30\/business\/media\/odd-fox-news-interview-lifts-reza-aslans-biography-on-jesus.html\">The New York Times<\/a>, that it had to increase the book\u2019s distribution by 35 percent.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe had 20K [copies] already scheduled to come in today since the book was selling before the weekend,\u201d London King, the Deputy Director of Publicity at Random House, explained in an email to The Atlantic Wire published Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>King added: \u201cWe just went back for another 50K today because of what happened over the weekend and that will arrive at the end of this week.
