BUFFALO, N.Y. — Arjang Assad, dean of the University at Buffalo School of Management, was named honorary UB football Coach of the Game on Sept. 14, when the Bulls defeated Stony Brook University 26-23.

Accompanied by Danny White, UB director of athletics, Assad was recognized on the field at UB Stadium for leading a comprehensive revision of the MBA curriculum, for launching a Master of Science program in accounting and for significantly enhancing the Master of Science program in finance.

In addition, Assad was recognized for establishing the Arjang A. Assad teaching award with a personal endowment gift, which helps to promote excellence in research while recognizing and valuing outstanding teaching.
